MML, how about the term "a kind eye"? Is it also strange to you?
Per Susan Downes "a kind eye" is a term that people use to say that the horse looks gentle and easy to manage and train.

Wild guess only. 赤胆雄心 is a full brother of 稻庭烏冬's dam. However, 稻庭烏冬 seems to have better stamina.

The dosage index of 稻庭烏冬 and 赤胆雄心 is 4.71 and 3.00 respectively.
Obviously your wild guess does not concur with the Dosage theory which will suggest 赤胆雄心 will have better stamina instead.

Haha, 赤胆雄心 should possess quite good stamina based on its pedigree. However, its performance in local races tends to convince me it is a miler plus.
As regards 稻庭烏冬, it got a full sister showed at 2200m twice. Hence, I am impressed that it shouldn't be strong on speed side as per figures of DI and CD. Anyway, I will rely more on actual performance of local races.
