Following copy fm HKJC:
"The Stewards considered an application from Trainer C S Shum that he be permitted to withdraw WINNING SUCCESS as E Saint-Martin, the horse's declared rider, was indisposed and he did not believe the available riders were in the circumstances suitable. He said all the available riders would be required to carry a significant amount of lead to make the weight on WINNING SUCCESS and he believed this was not in the interest of the horse. The Stewards did not accede to the application from Mr Shum and directed that he should engage a replacement rider.".....
I didn't bet on this horse but don't you guys think it was somthing strange that what the Stewards done, which did not let the horse withdraw even the trainer told them the truth...
